DURAK Duraflex® Threads, are brand-new sewing threads with high extending property. DURAK Duraflex® Threads are excellent sewing threads, with high extending property, in the structure of continuous filament, produced from newly developed modified raw material.

In stitches requiring elasticity, especially in neck, arm and perineum stitches, DURAK Duraflex® thread provides the required sewing elasticity and removes the stitch brake or crack resulting from elasticity in stitch.

Moreover, when used in lock stitches, it is possible to obtain two times more elasticity. In case that DURAK Duraflex® thread is used at the same time both as lower and upper thread in stitch, it is possible to obtain maximum stitch elasticity .
The elasticity property in chain stitches, performed by DURAK Duraflex® thread provides extra quality and comfort in the usage of swimming suits and various sports clothing's.

Physical and Chemical Properties

DURAK Duraflex® threads are acid-proof other than the extreme applications, in respect of their raw materials. They are resistant to light alkaline and are not affected from normal solvents, however they can be dissolved in some phenol compounds. DURAK Duraflex® threads are available for washing treatments and are resistant to bleaching treatment. DURAK Duraflex® threads represent 2% or less shrinkage at the temperature of 150°C and melt at the temperature of 228°C.

Dyeing Technology and Lubrication

DURAK Duraflex® Threads, are dyed with the environmentally friendly dyestuff and chemicals, where high color fastnesses together with bright and vibrant colors are obtained. It is finished with specifically formulized lubricants in order to provide maximum sewing performance in high sewing speed and neat stitch views.

Presentation Form

DURAK Duraflex® thread is presented in wrap conics of 1000 meters, with 150 color options in a standard of ticket number 120.

Sewing Recommendations

It is appropriate to work with lower tensions, in terms of the flexible structure of the thread. The machinery such as thread guides, essence, hooks, needle eye over the gateways of the thread, should be detect-free and smoothless, so that they shall not cause damage to the thread. Slightly decreasing the speed in quite high-speed operating sewing machines provides better result.
